Thankful for Colorado- Thanksgiving Weekend.

November 25, 2016

Hi! I'm Jackie, I wanted to write a little something over the Thanksgiving holiday. I want my readers to get to know me better, so I thought what a better way than a blog post! I took headshots last week and wanted to share them along with something I have written. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!

This is me, raw & unscripted. I am a crunchy, family-oriented, wife & mother. I love the state I live in and am grateful to call this home. I love to laugh, make new friends and spend time with my family. I met my Husband at the age of 14, fell in love with the state of Colorado in 2014, and held my beautiful baby girl for the first time in April 2015.

I like to think that I'm a friendly, out-going person! I think friendships are so important- a woman's support system contributes to your happiness. I've learned over the years that there are different types of friends, but nothing quite like your mother. I tell my mom EVERYTHING, she is my best friend.

Family means the world to me. I'm so grateful for the relationships that I have with both my Mom & Dad. Being 3,000+ miles apart is very difficult, but thank gosh for FaceTime and social media! I grew up in such a warm, loving environment and that to me is the type of environment I hope to raise my children around. My daughter who is now 19 months, keeps me on my toes daily. She is my other full-time job!

My husband and I decided to take a leap of faith and move to Colorado in 2014, we haven't looked back since. Originally from Hawaii, everyone always asks us, "Why Colorado?" Honestly, I don't know. We took a trip out here to visit friends and from that moment on we knew it was our calling to move here. I've found myself in this state in a way I cannot describe. Maybe it's because this state is where I became a mother, wife and found my passion for photography. It has helped shape the person that I am today. I'm so thankful for this state, I can't imagine living anywhere else! We've set roots here and don't plan on leaving!
